I say thirteen is a good age depending on the person
Mr.Yamamoto

Con

Sorry for my short argument. Character limit is 500.

Definition: Dating is a process of whereby two people meet to develop an intimate relationship and potentially a marriage.

13 year olds are not as mature as older people. Human’s brains do not fully mature even after reaching the age of 18 [1]. [2] suggests that they are not as competent in making decisions and [3] gives evidence that it impairs judgement.

I will explain in the next round why immaturity is a problem to dating.

You are judging an age group as the same maturity level, but the fact is that some people mature faster than others. Dating at thirteen helps prepare us for future relationships.
Mr.Yamamoto

Con

[1] is an AGE GROUP(12-14), not a SPECIFIC AGE. It includes all 12-14 y/o with different rates of maturing. My point still stands and I still have the support of[2][3].

[4][5]show some appalling statistics of teen dating abuse. For example 1/3 US 14-20 y/o have been victims of dating violence. Immaturity is problematic because teens are less able to handle these abuses than adults. Research shows teen victims of abuse in dating experience increased depression, drug use and suicidal behavior.[6]

Like I said before some people mature faster than others. What you are bringing up is the worst-case scenario, If the person was very immature this might happen but it is not guaranteed. Now the people that are mature for their age are most likely to spot these dangers before it happens.

Con

[1] shows even if you’re relatively mature within that age group, you’re still not mature enough. Also, even if I didn’t use[1],I’d still have [2]&[3] to back up my argument.

Rebuttal:
1.Pro hasn’t any evidence to his claims.I could just as easily claim something else.
2.Pro chooses 13+ almost arbitrarily. He does not fulfil his BoP in explaining why specifically 13+ and how is it a turning point.

Conclusion:Teens are immature.Engage in dating makes teen prone to abuse.13 y/o shouldn’t start dating.

Also I have not yet dropped Pro's points. (They are mere assertions anyway.) I will address them in later rounds.
