there is no true or honest point to make beyond personal experience

belief=be lie, as i dont know is true

i dont know=i have to imagine it=i can at best imagine it=maybe

my personal physical experience of now is everything, and anywhere beyond that is the reflection of nothing

Belief does not mean Be= lie
Also Belief means that a feeling of being sure that someone or something exists or that something is true.
Belief is not false because everyone has beliefs but you should say it is not true. The debate is saying it is false but this is a very different situation, false and not true.

but how is believing the claim true if its true i dont know?

belief is doubt, know is certain

i can believe my neighbour is at home sleeping or not, while i am certain i am reading these words on a screen

is know false?
brianjustin3709

Con

I know that belief is not true but it isn't false because someone (you) believes it. So it is not false because someone believes it but it is also not a true statement because only you believe it.

i have no beliefs

so if i believe in unicorns or santa, they are true because i believe it?
brianjustin3709

Con

Yeah! If you believe Santa it is not false because you believe it but other people might think that it is not true. Because you Believe it , it is not false.

so if i believe that santa is real, and some one believe that santa isnt, santa is and isnt real?
brianjustin3709

Con

Well I don't know if Santa is real or not, but someone who believes santa is real their perspective he is real but if someone doesn't believe santa doesn't believe him they don't believe him. It is all up to their perspective. I thought that santa was real but now I don't.

so now if any one asks at school you can tell them that santa is just a story, and maybe not have to worry about any embarasment

you do know that you have to imagine santa right? he isnt in the room with you like these words on the screen, and if so i think its fair to assume you have no memory of a "real" santa(not the guy in the mall)
brianjustin3709

Con

Yes, you can say that you beleive in Santa even if he isn't real.

Rebuttal

Vi_spex said that belief is be=lie but it is not.

I don't really get what PRO side means by believe being be lie.
Overall, I think Pro's arguments were weak.
