Just so that it is clear, I do not stand for this in reality, but I'll do my best to provide a good argument and I hope we have a fun debate.

Firearms are very dangerous things. It is very clear that these things are certainly not toys, and it is important to respect the fact that they can take away the lives of people. In many other countries, such as the United Kingdom, have already banned guns. Police officers do not even use firearms in countries such as this, yet everything else you would see on an American officer.

The ideology of a gun ban is simple. If no one can get guns, then if you have a gun, you're a criminal! It's that simple. While it is true that a small percentage of gun crimes in the U.S are committed with illegally obtained guns, if we simply stop producing guns and making them available to the public, it won't be possible for guns to be obtained in the first place.

Guns are used to take lives, and taking lives is a job to be done by the military. A war does not need to be fought on our own soil, but rather outside of it where it is most needed. Taking life is not necessary in any extreme other than war.

Let's imagine that there's an intruder in your home. It seems like a good time to have a gun, right? The reason why this assumption is incorrect, however, is that bullets, if not fatal, cause tremendous pain. Pain triggers a hormone commonly referred to as adrenaline, also known as epinephrine, which gives the body a "flight" or "fight" response. Commonly, in extreme conditions, especially in the case of psychopaths and sociopaths, the "Fight" response is triggered. This could cause the intruder to become practically immune to pain, putting them into a state that causes them to go completely berserk. Next thing you know, there's a dead family on the news. However, if something like pepper spray or a flash-bang is used on the intruder, they would be incapacitated and it would provide ample time to call the authorities.

Because of the reasons stated above, guns are unnecessary and a dangerous threat to society as we know it. If we continue down this path, our country will become a constant war-ground.

I'm a little interested in your debate, but what do you mean by "LD style"?
