Social networking sites are actually making the way to be social easier. Because , now we can interact with more people then we could do in places . We can have more information about our friends . Can know about their choices . Can know about public opinion in a matter and many others. But if someone is too into this like addicted its someone's personal failure, not of the social networking. People get addicted to too many things. It might be a lot of things other then drugs. It might be a special kind of food , video games , TV , soft drinks and even there's some people who are addicted to Shopping. So, Social networking sites are never the cause of being unsocial .

I think when we look at this debate, we HAVE to look at definitions and what we are trying to prove. Social Networking obviously means Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Unsocial is not having the ability to socialize with its piers to satisfy ones emotional needs. At face value, one can easily induce that obviously a SOCIAL NETWORKING sight would encourage SOCIALIZING. But we must look deeper into the issue and find some inherent harms hidden within the question. We as human beings require intimate(person to person) real life contact with others. Its a part of socializing that is perhaps more important than the actual words spoken between people. Ever hear " Actions speak louder than words?" This intimacy is entirely absent in the world of social networks! Therefore, if newer generations increasingly spend their time on social networking sites, they are getting less of the socialization that they truly need, over the endless vacuum of cat and vacation pictures. To say that other things like drugs, food, or television can also take up your time is entirely irrelevant to the argument! We are merely discussing whether Social Networking(NOT social media) is making our newer generation unsocial.

A point I want to reiterate and expound on, is our emotional need for intimate conversation between human beings. Without this, it leads to many things like depression, a lofty sense of loneliness, and obviously an unsociable person in general! Especially with our newest generation. If you've ever been Facebook friends with a 13 year old, your Facebook news feed is inevitably full of post throughout the day, a selfie here and there, open ended questions aimed on getting you to talk. But you look at the 0 likes and 1 comment and it's just the user's mom just commenting something random. But yet the user still posts a billion posts a day, and achieves nothing from them. I'd beg to say that this scenario happens all too often and is an obvious plea for true real socialization of which he/she isn't getting. The problem with social networking is that no almost no one wants to talk about deep thoughts or public opinions(unless its to verbally attack someone else I've noticed lol). I sure don't! Facebook is something for me to go to to read funny posts and pictures, find out where some friends went vacationing, or even catch up to an old friend for a bit. But this kind of "socialization" does not satisfy my true need for deep conversation with a friend "Mono Y Mono". It's for these reasons that Social Networking sights are indeed making our newest generation unsocial.
