I'd like to first say thank you for posting a topic such as this, and best of luck. Freedom does not "dilute" anything. As a matter of fact freedom promotes tolerance, creative thinking, and understanding of the world around you. The western world (The United States, Canada, Europe etc..) all have basic freedoms and have made huge strives in doing so. Having the piticle of modern art, landing on the moon, creating the first automobile etc.. and was all achieved through the freedom of having creative thought and free will to achieve their best. The western world was created by thinkers who achieved their knowledge through FREE thought. But in places such as Iran or Saudi Arabia where free thinking is often shunned and punished, they do not have such wealth and advancements. So all in all, freedom does not "dilute" society, rather freedom advances society. Thank you.

well..... if u have a peek in the past...... the youth wasn't so influenced by the western culture....."no show offs"......less crime rate..... today's youth doesn't take pride in the rich culture....in fact down the line we are ashamed of it...

Culture has absolutely nothing to do with crime rate. Culture is the way people live their life and how the respond to the area they are in. But now due to technology and the advancements in communication youth in every country can experience freedom and thought, which has proved time and time again to advance society. It's sociology 101.

We no longer live in the past, but even in the past freedom of thought and creativity only advanced society not only in a civil rights aspect, but in a technological aspect as well. But in countries where freedom is restricted we only see corruption and hatred. Such as that of the Soviet Union or Nazi Germany. People need to be free to advance and learn to be better to eachother.

well.......at some point i do agree with you.....(cnt switch side.....oops :P)

on Immorality: immoral behaviour, especially in sexual matters........what happened to our youth?
; licentiousness; profligacy or promiscuity. Dishonesty. Substance abuse. Profligacy. Dangerous liaisons without realising the consequences. Too much too soon, without earning it so don't the worth of what one has. Lack of responsible behaviour.........
but "diluting"........ is a strong word.......
i think "increased freedom" has widen the horizon f thoughts.........to negative aspects as well......
