terrorism is a battle of countries and not religions.
9/11 was never to kill jews or catholics but to weaken a country too powerful.26/11 in india was never to kill hindus and favor muslims(considering the death of muslims in the blasts too),but to make such a happening country slow.it wasnt to support a minority of population but to obstruct a majority of progressors.to weaken a developed country just to bring it low to their level.thnx.

Definitions
Religious terrorism : is terrorism by those whose motivations and aims have a predominant religious character or influence (http://en.wikipedia.org...)

Terrorism is the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion. At present, there is no internationally agreed definition of terrorism.Common definitions of terrorism refer only to those violent acts which are intended to create fear (terror), are perpetrated for an ideological goal (as opposed to a lone attack), and deliberately target or disregard the safety of non-combatants.(http://en.wikipedia.org...)

Refuteing Con Points
9/11 was a act of religious terrorism. The horrific attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon were perpetrated by radical Muslim extremists. This means that they though they had to kill "infidels" to reach there heaven or wherever they think they go. Thus it was a religious terrorist act.

26/11 in India has proven the rise and growth of the Islamic militant groups which are threatening not only the neighbouring countries but also the very society that sustains them. Islam is a religion, thus it is a religious terrorist group or act under the definitions provided to do what they did.

Point One
1)History Of religious terrorism
The history of terrorism is as old as humans' willingness to use violence to affect politics. The Sicarii were a first century Jewish group who murdered enemies and collaborators in their campaign to oust their Roman rulers from Judea. The Sicarii were basically resistant to Roman Rule of the Jews in the region of Judea. They were a religious group that used violence or terrorism to spark an all out war.

The Romans fed Christians to the lions because of their religion. The Ancient Pharoahs killed Jews and terrorized them to keep them in slavery. Christians terrorized Native populations during the crusades and the Spanish Inquisition, populating the new world to name a few.

2) Current Violent Religious Terrorists Cults

House of Yahweh in Texas has a vast collection of weapons. They feel that will play a major role in the coming War of Armageddon. Some members have been linked to a radical, anti-government group that is connected to the racist Christian Identity movement. Once again a religious terrorist.

Nation of Islam under the leadership of Louis Farrakhan. This is a black separatist sect with militant tendencies. He frequently makes anti-American statements in the media both in the U.S. and abroad, and has close ties to Libya and it's leader Qaddafi, a nation and leader known for supporting international acts of terrorism. He also has ties to El Rukn , a radical, black Muslim street gang in Chicago, which reportedly offered to carry out terrorist operations in the United States on behalf of Libya in return for money.

3) The Rise of Violence
There has been a significant increase in religion based violence. This can be seen in the bombing of American embassies in Africa, the bombing of the World Trade Center in New York, and the assassination of the Indian Prime Minister and the massacre of innocent worshipers at the Mosque in Hebron. Killing people that were worshipping a different faith then the one they believed is definitely a religious terrorist act.

4) Understanding That There is Religious Terrorists

"O Allah, destroy America, as it is controlled by Zionist Jews... Allah will avenge, in the name of His Prophet, the colonist settlers who are the descendents of monkeys and pigs..."
-- Ikrime Sabri, Mufti of the Palestinian Authority, weekely sermon in the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, Voice of Palestine, 11 July 1997

"If the Jewish State becomes a fact, the Arabs will drive the Jews who live in their midst into the sea."
-- Hassan al-Banna, founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, 1948

"The Jews are a cancer which is liable to spread again at any moment."
-- Hassan Nasrallah, Leader of Hezbollah

"There is no solution to the conflict except with the disappearance of Israel."
-- Hassan Nasrallah, Leader of Hezbollah

"If they all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide."
-- Hassan Nasrallah, Leader of Hezbollah

"Very soon, Allah willing, Rome will be conquered, just like Constantinople was."
-- Yunis al-Astal, prominent Muslim cleric and HAMAS member of the Palestinian parliament speaking about the long term goals of Islam

"When jihad becomes an individual duty, it applies to women too, because women do not differ from men when it comes to individual duties, the brothers of apes and pigs [the Jews] who should taste the bitterness of death."
-- Yunis al-Astal, speaking about the need for suicide bombers and the importance of martydom in a sermon on 11 April 2008

I am not doing this to attack the Muslim/Islamic faith but just to show that terrorism can be a religious act for religious reasons.
