knowledge=free will
for perfect balance, as they stand in contrast

if I can be mentally enslaved free will must exist

past=truth=knowledge=memory=destruction(turn my back)

Con

Hello, I have decided to debate Pro on this topic.
First and foremost, the BoP is on Pro to prove that knowledge is the same thing as free will and knowledge is memory.
Let me define each term, since Pro apparently cannot:

Memory: : the power or process of remembering what has been learned: something that is remembered: the things learned and kept in the mind
Knowledge: : information, understanding, or skill that you get from experience or education: awareness of something : the state of being aware of something
Free will: : the ability to choose how to act

As stated in these definitions alone, knowledge is not the same thing as free will, and memory not the same as knowledge!
Thank you for the debate!

Pro

memory is what i remember

knowledge=Machine

awareness=belief, know, and knowledge

information is the opposite of matter, only know is matter, and belief and knowledge is information, imagination and memory, my perception of future and past

how is knowledge not the same "thing" as free will in the examples above?
Valkrin

Con

My point from R1 still stands and Pro has not refuted yet.
If knowledge is different from memory in ANY WAY, and knowledge different from free will in ANY WAY, I win.
I have proved so just above, therefore Pro has wasted his time with R2.
Thanks and vote Con!

Pro

everything you have said agrees with my position, you are arguing for me, now try and argue why you are not
Valkrin

Con

I'm not arguing because I've already won.
Your whole goal was to prove knowledge = free will and knowledge = memory.
I have PROVED otherwise.
Therefore, since you could not prove so, I win, and there's nothing to argue.

Pro

you have proved you believe you have proved something
Valkrin

Con

I have proved the very definitions of knowledge, free will, and memory are different.
They are not the same therefore I have won the debate.
Debate Round No. 4
vi_spex

Pro

if i ask you how are you going to say you already won the debate?
Valkrin

Con

I have stated already, opponent.
I have proved that the definitions of knowledge, memory, and free will are different.
If things are different they are not equal.
A book does not equal a hamburger. They are different.
Knowledge does not equal memory or free will, even by definition. That's how I believe I have won the debate.

Thank you to all who read through this, and vote Con! :D

Tweka. 7 points to Con. Removed because: complete failure to explain sources, conduct, and S&G. Inadequate explanation for argument point. More specificity is required than merely saying one side did not fulfill the BOP and the other had inadequate rebuttals.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro did not fulfil his BoP and Con's argument are not refuted.

Max.Wallace. 3 points (arguments) to Pro, 1 point to Con (S&G). Reason for removal: complete failure to explain argument and S&G votes.

Reasons for voting decision: Sorry, but I suspect my vote will be deleted as soon as possible by the machine of self imagined knowledge. As so many else have been.

Poor conduct from my opponent right here. I ask anyone voting to penalize Pro for his obscene language.

Reasons for voting decision: This wasn't even a debate, Pro was to interested in calling clearly different things to be the same, Con aptly demonstrated the differences, even if some were subtle in how they were different.

Reasons for voting decision: Con explained our common definitions of knowledge, free will, and memory. Knowledge and memory are more than similar, and free will can easily be shown to be incredibly similar to knowledge and memory. Con failed to show how they are different, and pro failed to show how they are the same, so no points to anyone. Conduct point to Pro because I'm sick of people on this site asking us to vote for them. We'll vote for who we feel has won the debate, not because you told us to vote for you.
