I wish everyone would say merry Christmas instead of happy holidays. Jesus is the reason for the season.

Jay1980. Do you have Rock Solid proof that Jesus was born on December 25?. Please remember what I typed in another post here Lamb's calving and lambing period is Spring and Autumn only not Winter.

Truth-Over-Emotion, has anyone ever told you that religion does not exist. Trees, Plants, Animals (of all kinds) Air, Electricity, Water, Gas, This Planet by what your saying "Are they also part of religion?". And if your answer is No, why bring up religion in the first place. Because that is also the answer to "Does religion exist?".

And so 'happy holidays' is indeed a more apt expression.

And ignorance is bliss apparently. Christmas is actually a paste of saturnalia which is pagan festival held at the same time, People went nuts when they tried to get rid of saturnalia and so Christians made 'christmas' to wipe over the top of it so that at least people would be celebrating something to do with their religion.

All Christians are aware that Jesus was not born in the winter season. But we do not know his exact birth date, so a long time ago we chose that December 25 would be the day we celebrated his birth. This, however, does not make the celebration obsolete, it's just a day we choose to celebrate. Just because you do not believe (because of your own religion) does not mean that others don't as well. Your comment was just as ignorant as the creator of this argument.

Plus Jesus was not born in December because sheep do not calf or lamb until Spring and Autumn. Hence making Christmas obsolete. And in the nativity scene, a young lamb was seen. meaning it could only be in Spring or Autumn to when he was born. NOT WINTER.
