I accept the debate that "people should be judged based on their personality not their appearance.

thank you. now to kick off this debate i will jump straight into my points: 1) the persons characteristics, 2) their hobbies, and 3) the con side of only basing on their appearance.

1) Okay envision this: you are just and average guy in the world. You make decent money and own a decent house. But your wife/husband is insanely hot. (i say husband since i don't know if Ur a guy or not) But they make terrible food, they're always mean to you, and they cheat on you. This is and example of the problems if your only into looks. you don't know what the person is like and if you and the person both have things in common or etc. based on this ill jump into my 2nd point.

2) their hobbies. If u want to go surfing or whatever but your girlfriend/boyfriend wants to go watch a movie, their is a clash that has appeared just now. Plus if your only into looks and don't care a bout the characteristics, then how r u guys gonna mingle together?

3)like i'm into people who can make really good food and the appearance is a contributing factor, but if the person doesn't make good food, then what is the point of liking that person. Although i assure you i am not a slave to my stomach, neither am a i a fat person typing this.....i'm still pretty young.

Imagine you are a parent of a baby child. You can choose from two babysitters. One babysitter's name is Susan, she is wearing a Harvard T-shirt and has a smile on her face. The other one's name is Sam. She has a tattoo on her arm that is imprinted with death. Her T-shirt advertises marijuana. Which babysitter would you choose? The obvious answer is Susan. A person can control their appearance by their facial expression, the type of clothing they wear, and other imprints such as tattoos. Clothes, facial expression, etc. can make the same person look like a bright person, or a gangster. Now my opponent's argument does not mention clothes/facial expression but proposes that the society judges a person on how good they look. Well my argument is that if you are worried about someone judging you by how you look, ignore them. It doesn't matter what the public thinks; your looks are completely to your self. God has made you and you just have to trust his work. However, if you wear gang-related shirts and other inappropriate clothing, the society has no choice but to infer that you are a gangster/ etc. People should not judge on the characteristics of the BODY but should be able to judge on other features such as clothing, tattoos and facial expression.
