police officers are suppose to protect us that is there job, but in the past year officers have been using their fire arm privileges to harm the people they are suppose to protect. It has been shown that this is a racial issue and there for officers should not be able to have fire arms on them while they work.
Police Officer's Need Protection when on duty. They can't just walk into a mob infested area with a taser. But even on patrols, if someone shoots a police officer, what can they do if they have no gun? Certainly, they can tase the suspect, but the taser has a limited range, as soon as the suspect is to far away, they can shoot all they want. People have taken the "Black Lives Matter" too far. Every time a officer gets close to someone they scowel. And, all the riots. I mean seriously people. Come on. Riots over a man being shot. Okay, he was unarmed. But, A riot? Think about it. A city was half ruins because people took it too far.
While your arguments are very good police are abusing their rights to carry fire arms. Black lives do matter and I do not think it is being taken too far they are finally pointing out the flaws in our justice system and that is exactly what we need. Police have killed over 102 unarmed African Americans in 2015 and only hear about four maybe. Fire arms should only be taken out in needed instances not when a 12 year old boy is playing in the street, or when a man is walking down the street, or coming out of the store, or in a car, or when a 16 year old boy is walking down a street with a hoodie on. All of these people and many more were killed by police officers even though they were unarmed and black.
