Private schools are supposed to be teaching kids closer up. Public schools do it for free in a classroom that's almost the same size. Honestly, I think that going to a public school is better than going to a private school in general because you have more social activity and can also get personal help there. But if a person is set on going to a private school, they should remember that everyone must make a living, even the teachers at the private school. Not as many people go to private schools as do public schools, and therefore the teachers may end up making slightly less money. Indeed, in most places, money for public schools comes from taxes paid by the people of the town. Private schools are different because they're more personal.
I think that we should all go to private schools so that we can all get the best education we need to make this world better. look at all the politics there making heaps of money but how many went to a public school. if we made private schools cheaper everyone could have a better future. if your parents couldn't afford to send you to a private school would you think that it should be cheaper ? would you think "oh teachers need to make a living" or would you think that's unfair I want to go there? what would your truthful opinion be?
I'm giving you my truthful opinion. Many different rich people have gone to public schools as well. Public schools are better in general because you can get a good enough education without severe punishment AND get one on one help. I don't understand why you brought politics into this... You're suddenly changing the topic of this argument. Stay on task, will you? Private schools don't have to be cheaper. It's fine the way it is.
Reasons for voting decision: Conduct -- neither party backed up facts...but it was given to PRO because of CON's statement "Stay on task, will you? " during Round 2. Attacking PRO is unacceptable.
Spelling and grammar goes to CON.
Convincing arguments - CON. PRO used morals (R2 last sentence), which isn't always bad, however, there's a time and place for them. This was not it, because the con had already claimed that cheaper schools reduces quality of education, therefore nullifying pro's point of "if we made private schools cheaper everyone could have a better future."
Sources -- tied, neither party quoted sources
Pro: -Avoid morals in a debate like this
-Be the person that uses sources, back up your facts
-With each claim, think "why?". Answer it. It helps a lot.
Con: -Try to keep calm. It was almost obvious that you were getting angry. Emotion is good, but only in moderation.
-Use more sources
-Outdated claims "without severe punishment AND get one on one help."
