Reservation in India is the process of facilitating a person in education, scholarship, jobs, and in promotion who has category certificates.

A common form of caste discrimination in India was the practice of untouchability. Scheduled Castes (SCs) were the primary targets of the practice, which is outlawed by the Constitution of India.

The caste-based reservation stands at 69% and the same is applicable to about 87% of the population in the State of Tamil Nadu.

As i am pro reservation i want to clear that i am against caste based reservation , and I think reservation should be based on:
" financial condition
" candidate's situation , etc.

Firstly, you have to tell you are with reservations in India or simply reservation.
Because reservation in India is flawed. Today rather than reducing caste difference reservations have made caste discrimination more than it was before. Today, reservations are core of Indian politics and for this we cannot blame any party because ALL parties use reservations to survive in elections.
there is no leader who has a strong say on reservations.
Reservations are important for socially backward and financially backward to come up and make India equal in social status.
They have to be given to those who are backward but not to a particular caste. and if a caste is really socially backward then it should be given to them.
Clearly you say that that you are with the current reservation system but ask yourself have we really progressed in creating equality between castes and have we really finished caste system.
the answer according to me is NO but rather we have deepened caste roots in our nation.
