I'M A CON MEANING I WILL PROVE THAT THE PEN IS MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD
before i begin with the arguments i like to define mightier as greater or more/can do more things
ARGUMENTS:
1) that pen can do much more things than the sword which main purpose or usage is at a war or strength wise
2) even if you take out violence it will not affect the growth and development of a specific place or a country on contrary it helps it.
3) that pen saves more lives than the sword because it creates peace treaties, unlike swords that is used on war
4) swords are good only in destroying cause it is its main purpose while a pen can heal by making you happy and it can make you proclaim your feelings which is a need for a person.

I shall be arguing the point that the sword is mightier than the pen.

The definition from the Oxford English Dictionary for "Mighty" is as follows;

"Possessing great or impressive power or strength, especially because of size".

Using a definition concocted by the instigating party is an example of false evidence, as it sets parameters to be met that aren't generally accepted amoungst all people, and therefore using a world figure of authority on word origins and definitions would be more suitable and make for a fairer argument.

With reference to the widely accepted definition of "mighty", a sword possesses more destructive power than a pen in terms of physical power, and may also be greater than a pen in terms of size. Furthermore, a pen can do but one thing; make use at a writing utensil. All other uses are either non-intended, or an extension of the user in the sense that the words being written stem from the writer, not the pen itself. In the same way, a sword can be used not only for war, but, amoungst others, also as a butcher's tool, a ceremonial instrument, and a agricultural device seen in the harvesting of crops such as sugar cane.

Contrary to the point of swords not having developmental use bar war, my previous point mentions its use as an agricultural tool. Machetes are currently being used in developing countries such as Columbia, Brazil, China and India for many tasks such as harvesting crops and building materials, slaughtering livestock, making trails and pathways as a form of preliminary infrastructure, and more.

Where pens may write and sign peace treaties, they also write war stratergy, the signing of military powers over to individuals, and the legislation necessary for the detention of innocent people, making this point contradictory. However, it argues more the point that the pen does more good than the sword, which isn't the point raised. I will however say that swords used in war may save more lives if the cause of the war was injustice, so that the war itself would be in an effort to aid the innocent and vanquish tyranny. The most recent example of a war like this is the Second World War, in which Nazi Germany posed a threat to innocent people globablly. Without the war that followed, many more lives could have been lost as all but white, blue eyes, blonde haired people would have been oppressed.

By the same assumption it would be true to say a pen is only good for writing for that is it's purposed.
Why can a pen make you happy? Can a pen not also bring immeasurable sadness? I revert to my previous point of a sword having multiple uses."
