ring species are proof of evolution. Irrefutable proof."Because ring species are unable to reproduce with one another yet have a common ancestor. They have EVOLVED separately and are no longer able to reproduce with one another because they have EVOLVED into two separate species. That is evolution, which people reject.

Hello! I will be taking the CON position, and arguing that ring species do not prove evolution.

Now, I know that evolution is a scientific fact, very well supported by multiple sciences. I also agree that ring species provides good evidence because they are an exceptional case that can fit the theory.

However, ring species, on their own, cannot prove the theory.

The saying of proves the rule originally meant challenges it, but evolution is strong enough to stand up against it. As this thing does not even begin to challenge it, by wordplay the whole meaning can change, and so please someone set up a precise meaning quickly, before the other one does what I did immediately.
