In my opinion, I believe that parents should not be prosecuted missing child. we could not deny that parents have responsibility towards their child. parent can be accused for missing child but they should not be prosecuted.
A counter argument is that no one is hurting more than the parent when a child is missing and it was an unfortunate accident.

To claim that parents should be prosecuted for having a missing child makes the assumption that they lost the child on purpose. This is an absolutely horrible assumption as most parents don't willingly lose their children, it happens by accident and isn't something that the parents would choose to happen could they control it.

Furthermore my opponent makes the argument himself that no-one is suffering more than the parents themselves when they find out their child is missing; they're worried about finding their children and the last thing they need to worry about is a frivolous lawsuit. It would take time and energy away from the parents when they could just as easily put that energy towards finding their children.

The impact is that the children are harmed. By voting for the Pro you vote or for a world that punishes children for things beyond their control, when their parents are preoccupied by a lawsuit they can't put as much energy into finding their Children.

we cannot deny that parents are the ones that will be sad. BUT, it is their responsibilities to care for their child. through prosecution , it ensures that at least parents ware of their legal responsibilities. although it wont be good if parents take care about their children because the law tells them to do so but to a certain extend it ensures the safety of the children is taken care of!
