I do not think god exist.
science is everything

This one might be a tough one to argue against. I also believe that there is no God, and I do believe that science is the key to our future.
But is science everything? Though it can explain many things in the stuff we love, I do not believe that it is everything. We have other things we can hold on too; art, literature, music, etc... Science may offer an eventual answer, but it does not always answer the things in our personal lives. When we look for reasons why a person acts a certain way, we can look at the sciences of personality and the brain to explain the actions, but Einstein does not get us through a break up, or a family members death. Micheal Jackson does, Leonardo De Vinci does, and Lemony Snicket does.
Science only offers explanations. Art, hobbies, friends, love, and explorations give us every thing else.

arts depend upon the human mind and neurons and if we talk about death it is just due to inactivity of human organs which is requisite for life .
science has successful to make the bacteria.
and one day it will also successful to explore the reason of life.

Science explains our reaction to different forms of art. It does not explain our interpretation of it. Science explains death, and our reaction and feelings towards the subject, but does not explain the art it inspires. How will science explain Starry Night, or Edgar Allen Poe's The Raven? Yes science can explain the reactions, and the history behind the pieces. It even gives an idea of what might have inspired it. So What?

Interpretation does come from life experience, atmospheres, and personal life's goings on, but Science does not explain what art means to some one in the metaphorical, and a philosophic soul level.

as u told earlier. ...that art is also important for us.
but art is a branch of science. your experiences teach you a lot.but through science u can explain it in effective way.as we are debating here..it is also a part of science.
u told about atmosphere.that is environmental science.
so everything is related with science in any manner. u believe it or not...noone can change one's thinking.

Con

Any one can change any one's way of thinking.

I can see your argument for art being a branch of science. It can help us explain the world in which we live. It is so much more than that though. It also connects us to the world in which we live. It allows us to feel the world. Science explains it, but art lets us feel it.

If art is a branch of science, then it is a branch of every thing else. Politics, war, peace, cooking, sports. Every thing. Art is not just explainable by science. In a way, art explains science.

Truth does not come from God. Science constantly disproves him.

Truth comes from God. Truth is not subject to rationalism. True science is nothing but observation of nature (material). God created nature (material). ummmmmm.........Jesus Christ is the Truth, and He's not hard to take. If it seems hard, your heart is in the wrong place chasing after the wrong things that will lead you to destruction.

Truth comes from 2 possibilities:
1 - Empiricism - scienctific,experience etc...
2 - Rationalism - mathematics,philosophy,causality etc...

Taking these 2 ways you will come to conclution that God must be exist. here good lecture using these to possibillities...

Reasons for voting decision: Pro brought up some interesting ideas, but fails to really argue them. Pro also had a lot of grammar issues and may want to reconsider his/her writing style for DDO. No sources were used as they weren't really necessary for this particular debate.

Reasons for voting decision: S&G to CON for PRO's capitalization, sentence structure, and use of text-speak, and poor punctuation; Arguments to CON because PRO failed to meet his burden of proof.
