As per DDO customs, I will assume that the first round is for acceptance. I await my opponent's opening arguments.
Debate Round No. 1

Pro

Thank you, freakazoid, for instigating this debate. Contrary to the Pro and Con positions in this debate, it appears that my opponent has chosen to argue on the Pro side of: setting a limit for font-size of a the debate's text. In other words, my opponent is arguing that there debater's text-size should be limited.

A1: It is undesirable to set obnoxious font sizes

A goal of any serious debater is to win a debate. Therefore, a serious debater will choose font that will most likely to help his/her case, not hinder it. The false presumption in my opponent's argument is that debaters have no incentive to not write with obnoxious font sizes. As expanded upon in a Lincoln education document, inappropriate fonts can distract from the presentation of arguments [1]. Thus, there is no need to limit debater's font sizes and they themselves will limit them appropriately.

I will elaborate if necessary, but this is the crux of my argument.

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct - Pro. Con forfeited a couple rounds in this debate which is rarely acceptable conduct in any debate setting. S&G - Tie. Both had adequate spelling and grammar. Arguments - Pro. Con failed to present a substantial case for his respective position. Instead, he wasted a whole round typing in the word "argument", before forfeiting the rest of the debate. On the flip side, Pro was able to produce a solid case and remained unchallenged for the rest of the debate. For this, Pro wins arguments. Sources - Pro. Con did not utilize sources in this debate whereas Pro utilized one which served to strengthen her main arguments. For this, Pro wins sources. Ultimately, this is a clear win for Pro.

Reasons for voting decision: FF and unrefuted argument from desirability. I am awarding Con a S&G point out of spite towards Zarroette in order to entice her to debate me.
