I believe that jr high students that are in schools joined with high school students should be allowed off campus because the fact that the high school students are given this privledge, is unfair to the ones that stay and wtch them leave.

In middle school and the early grades of high school, most schools do not allow their students to leave at lunch or recess for security reasons. Many students have not been happy with this issue and are demanding to leave at lunch in order to go to the local fast food restaurant, or whatever other activities they would want to do. This in it self is perfectly fine, as students should be encouraged to get out in the world from a young age. The problem lies in what else could happen during the hour or two that they are out of school. I will start with the obvious. Teachers and parents will have no real idea of where the students are during these times and have no way of ensuring that they get back to school on time. If they were to do something illegal or something that the school does not support, no one would ever know and the incident could go unpunished, which, in the long road, could lead to many different problems with morals and ethics later on. The other main issue is the fact that once schools start to put this rule in effect, criminals and other people who should not be left alone near children or teens will start to flock to these school areas. Though it may not sound like much of an issue because they are in high school and should be able to take care of themselves, but, especially in expensive private schools, parents would be willing to give up large sums of money to get their children back if they were ever kidnapped.
