I think Americans should be able to purchase weapons because of our safety and people. If the government took away our weapons it would be ciaos and there would more control over crime, but there would be people would want weapons for sport and entertainment.

Before the debate really begins, I ask the people voting to throw their opinions aside and hear the Opposition out.

In order to debate this properly, we need to define the bounds of "weapons."

The Opposition defines weapons as an instrument used in offensive or defensive combat, whose sole design is to intimidate, injure, or kill another individual or being.

The threat of violence involved in civilian-owned weapons is one of the many reasons they should be illegal. The fact that any one person walks around with a weapon contributes to fear and insecurity in our society. The only real way to eliminate weapon violence is to get rid of weapons completely.

I actually feel kind of secure walking around with knowing that myself and others are armed
