should counties eleminate borders and try to start a unified government for one giant country?

so there would be 7 continental countries... northa America, South America, Europe, middle east, Africa, Asia, and Pacific/Australia.
what im trying to say that currently there are too many small countries and while most are surviving on their own just fine, they're not thriving like a larger country such as the US or Russia.
take a country like jordan of the middle east for example. its population is around 7 million not counting new refugees. now they are undergoing a huge water shortage with (little underground water left). they wanted to build a water desalination plant which costs around 6-7 billion for that county but their entire GDP is only 24 billion dollars. if they were a part of a middle eastern union it would be easier to deal with this sort of problem all across the middle east. same go for countries in Africa and hat not.
but if there was a unified Iraq or lets say the middle eastern region united than a pest like isis will be dissolved quite quickly. as for religious differences there will be some at first, but if you look at countries like the united states or europe, living together peacefully is not a problem for most people. yes you will have some extremists from all religions saying its impossible but the truth to the matter is the average joe couldn't care less about their religious differences.
i think a united world needs to happen in the future, we are all humans and we share similar foundations and dreams. borders are just another way to make us feel diffrent/sepprate from those who do not live in theirs. people from Mexico are called Mexicans and people from Russia are called Russians. we are all people no matter where we come from and until we stop feeling isolated from one another wars could very well continue to go on.
but in order for this to happen i don't think people should be forced into joining a country but rather they take the initiative and want to unite (conquering doesn't work anymore)
to give an example if isolation... the ottoman empire survived for over a hundred years ruling parts of erope, middle east, north Africa, and Asia. while in their glory days it was a diverse nation much like the united states today... but during ts last 200 years or so the turks became interested i the turkish ethnic group and original boarders they occupy. so they started to rule biased making the Europeans, asians and arabs work realy hard to develope the turkish area and not do anything in the peoples lands in return. for examples no schools or social programs were available to the Europeans, arabs, etc. of corse the people did not like that and eventually the ottoman empire fell from revolt during ww1
