Ok.. so before starting the debate, let me define a few key terms.
HIV and AIDS: let's just talk about the commonly known AIDS.
testing: testing for drugs made to cure HIV.
compulsory-ok. this is the hard thing. All people with HIV should try this-I'll define this term like this.

For my ideas...

1. Patients' rights
--> The HIV testers won't like the fact that they are being used as a subject of experiment.

2. Freedom.
--> If the patients choose... it will be a way better option. Here's how:
number one, they don't feel like they are 'used'.- they are not forced.
number two, they feel they are being helped.

3. Development -- sort of rebuttal to pro's first argument
-->even though we make patients choose, we will get plenty of volunteers. we can still develop.

As is the case with any disease, discovering it early is key to maximizing the victim's chances of survival and minimizing the number of other people who contract the disease from him/her.

By "HIV Testing" Pro likely means the testing of people to see whether or not they've contracted HIV/AIDS.

If everyone has to take an HIV test, then it stands to reason that everyone will have been tested. That means that if you are asked about your HIV status, you would know it. It would even be possible to have your status listed on your driving license. I would foresee massive discrimination due to this. Prospective employers would know you had been tested and could include an "optional" question regarding your results on the application. This could also become a part of college admissions. Museums, night clubs, bars, playgrounds, day care centers, etc might start banning those who have tested positive.

None of that is possible if testing is not mandatory. All of it is possible if HIV testing is mandatory.
