I think that junk food should not be taxed because it will increase the cost of fast food and it will cost too much. i am a student where junk food is a easy pic while studying. so what is your idea about this?

What do you mean by "junk food?" Fast food? Chips, soda, cookies?

Junk food as in McD/BK/Taco etc. is taxed because it's prepared food.

If you were to get a pack of hamburger meat to cook at home, that wouldn't be taxed.

I feel "junk food" is just too general for me to find a specific point to rebut against..

Junk food shouldn't be taxed, but it should also not be getting the enormous amount of subsidies either. The only reason snacks and other junk food can remain so cheap is because of the subsidies given to the corn and potato industries. If people want to buy junk food, that's perfectly fine, it's their choice, but please don't make my tax dollars subsidize your purchase.

Those subsidies should instead go to farmers who grow healthier food, to promote national health by making vegetables and fruits even cheaper.
