Mankind should continue into space due to the need for expansion of living space and the constant need for the gain of resources running short on earth, fossil fuels are running out, and to make other systems of energy production efficient, we need more space to make them time efficient and for a growing population and an aging population, more energy is needed and with an aging population, more energy will be needed for medical facilities, not to mention resources for medicines.

I believe that man should not continue into space. I believe this because the people of the United States would have to pay taxes for the journey(s). The people would not want to pay the taxes and the program would not be able to hold itself up with no funds. Apollo 11 drove the U.S. Into further debt. Thus if we continue a space program the U.S. will be in debt even more than we already are. So, we should not continue or create another U.S. Space program.

Man should continue into space, not only for expansion, but also for the technological developments that would be achieved by going there, the Apollo missions developed memory foam, as an example. The development of a space program may be pricy, but if it was a global project, it would not cost any one nation an extortionate amount of funds, but it would also promote world governments to work together and to trust each other more.

With the mention of other nations helping pay for the program, that would not work. It would not work because the other nations have to pay for their own expenses. So, they are not able to contribute a lot or none at all. So the U.S. Would have to pay for the program ourselves. There is also no guarantee that if we do go into space, that we will find anything new. So it is not worth raising taxes to fund the program and sending America further into debt.

This debate is being wasted, neither of the parties is introducing sufficient arguments so far. And are in my opinion very biased.
