It is unconstitutional to ban it According to the first amendment everyone has the right to the pursuit of happiness. What if someone is only happy if they are using marijuana? If that is the case then the United States gov't is taking away the pursuit of happiness for Americans which is not what the founding fathers wanted to happen.
I believe Marijuana should be legalized for medical uses. For recreational use however, it should stay illegal. You argument that it is unconstitutional is so off that it amazes me. The pursuit of happiness that you mention allows people to follow their dreams, such as if they wanted to become a pilot. The Pursuit of Happiness allows people to do whatever they want, as long as it is inside the law. The Founding Fathers never wanted Marijuana to be legalized, that is why it is not in the Constitution of the United States of America.
Genesis 1:12 - And the earth brought forth grass, [and] herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed [was] in itself, after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good. in other words he created marijuana and he said it was good. If it were not meant for our purposes he would have not created it. This is the only pure natural "drug." Marijuana is just like tobacco. You can grow it. Its not made. If it were made like meth or crack, it should be illegal. But anything that the earth natural produces and gives us should be legal and obtainable as it was there for.
The grass that God brought forth was not Marijuana, but grass that grows in our yards. God never said "Marijuana was good." He said the Earth he created was good. Marijuana is bad for you. You say Marijuana is better because it is natural, but aren't the ingredients to make other drugs just as natural?
