i believe Olympic wrestling should be brought back to the Olympics because is the oldest sport ever played. people have been wrestling for ages an i don't think it is fair for them to take it away from us. i shall see if the voters agree with me.
While i agree with Pro on some aspects of what he says, Bringing wrestling back into the Olympics, i believe, would be a waste of money on the Olympic committee's part. Already in the past few Olympic games we have seen a decline in the amount of people who actually want to pay to go to the stadium and watch the games. Wrestling would just be another hole in the Olympic committee's Wallet, a game that most people will probably not watch. Which yes is sad, considering the potential of young people who are wrestling in school or in clubs, but its just not worth the money. In the 2012 summer Olympics, less games were being broadcast on television, which just cuts the audience of spectators down even more. If "new" games are introduced into the Olympics, the money to create the games might go down at an even faster rate then they are, and in a few decades we might stop having them altogether, or they will just be played on computers.
Well. Only to reiterate my last argument, money is really the only thing that stands in the way. Though i personally do believe it should be an Olympic sport again, for there are a lot of young men in schools today that enjoy wrestling very much, and it would be a good thing if they could go further then they currently can in a wrestling career. Another reason that wrestling, and many other sports, aren't Olympic sports is because many of them give certain countries an advantage because some countries don't have wrestling in schools as a "norm" much like many of the United States' schools do.
