no its none of the parents bees wax. its not like the kid gets to look through the parents phone.

I believe that parents should have access to kids messages because it is for their own safety as well and your argument about kids not having to look on parents messages is very invalid as you know in our status quo there are lots of crimes and scams happening through phones so at the end of the day having the parent see through child's messages is a very big benefit

I was reading an article on phone sexting with young adults, teens under the age or 18, There is alot more than I thought of this activity happening. Sometimes a girl will think she is sending a "photo" to a boyfriend and this photo mysteriously leaks to the whole school. This could seriously taint a reputation. It could also make her a sexual target.

Yes, If a child is underage then the parent should have rights to the phone information in order to protect that child.
