I think that parents need to start talking to their kids about sex at a younger age. kids all over the world are getting pregnant or are getting std's because they are not fully informed about sexual education. They teach sex ED. at school but it is not enough, kids are not understanding it and are paying the consequences

there are two ways this could be debated. I will present both ways

definitions -

Should - must; ought
parents - A guardian; a protector.
teach - to impart knowledge of or skill in; give instruction in
sex - either the male or female division of a species

definitions -

Should - must; ought
parents - A guardian; a protector.
teach - to impart knowledge of or skill in; give instruction in
sex

by the age of three, most children understand the difference between a male and a female, a boy and a girl.

my opponent failed to define the words, so I could easily take it this direction, but I understand what he meant by this topic, so I will use the second set of definitions.

definitions -

Should - must; ought
parents - A guardian; a protector.
teach - to impart knowledge of or skill in; give instruction in
sex - intercourse - 2. the act of sexual procreation between a man and a woman; the man's penis is inserted into the woman's vagina and excited until orgasm and ejaculation occur

sorry about the definition, i simply copy and pasted it from www.dictionary.reference.com

on the contrary, I know many kids who know about sex at a young age. even I learned about sex at a young age, I was 6 years old when I learned about it.

using the definitions though, my opponent says that parents ought to give instruction to their kids about sex...

the only way to give instruction on sex is either
1. tell them how to have sex, and what it does.
2. show them how to do it
or 3. do it to them.

all three of those we cannot have happening to our children. the third way is also illegal on many forms. either way you look at this topic, it is true that negation is the true side.

I know many teens with STD's and many pregnant teens who were informed of sex at the age of 6-9 who still had sex. knowledge of it doesn't change the physical attraction, it simply makes it more easily attained.
