on the topic of freedom of speech, i feel that we as people should be able to say what we want without the stupid consequences of touchy subjects like racism and equality. i think that if you hear a word that offends you, then cover your ears. i hate the fact that people are condemned for saying simple words. Your weak if you let words offend you so much as to completely push for the ruin of that person and his or her life, career, relationships, etc.

So, there are a lot of points to argue on this. First off "racist" terms, saying a racist phrase to a African American should get you condemned in my eyes, because it is hateful and rude. You said that they were weak if they were hurt people's feelings, but words have a bigger impact than you think. Such as you could say offensive words to someone and then they might go and commit suicide because of the hurtful words you said to them. So you should be condemned for the hateful words, this would not go against the 1st amendment, but it would be basically bullying.

hmm.. back to the basis of bullying......I would define bullying as intentionally trying to hurt some ones feelings, second of all some one can be offended over the slightest thing, stupid things. third, I know suicide and I know one thing for sure, is that it is not ever and option. if you can't handle your life then you are weak.....In a way.

" one habitually cruel to others who are weaker" that is from Merriam Webster. See yes you are weak if you consider suicide a option, but it is still an option. So basically you want to be able to freely say these words at the cost of someone else's life. Being condemned by these words encourage others not to say these words. Racism, we don't want to say racist words we want to stop racism. Equality we don't want any more discrimination we want everyone to be equal. And Bullying yes bullying it is a sad thing to do but it happens and these words encourage it.
