Currently a major issue in this world, is the safety and treatment of women. Rape rates in many countries are very high. The most probable reason towards these high rape rates is due to the unquenchable sexual desires of many men. There are many virgins out there who are desperate to have sex. But, getting a women to sleep with you isn't an easy thing and not something that everybody can succeed in. So the only hopes of those people at that period of time is prostitution. If prostitution can quench their thirst for sex, then it will prevent chances of rape. Prostitution should be legal as both parties get what they want. It is a give and take deal. The prostitute gets money and the customer gets to have sex. There is no reason for prostitution to be illegal.

Currently, a major issue in this world IS the safety and treatment of women. Therefore, I will like to ask this. What is the proper way for an human being to be treated? Well, according to the voicesofyouth.org, "Equal does not mean that we are all the same . Each of us is different in our own special way but we also have the common qualities that make us all humans. So each of us should be treated with respect and dignity and treat others in the same way." Each of us should be treated with respect and dignity and treat others in the same way. I believe that this is the standards that everyone should live by.

So, my opponent makes the point that prostitution can lower the chances of rape. Well, think about this. Why do people rape other people? It is because they have an uncontrollable sexual desire that they have to feed. Do you honestly think that someone who has an uncontrollable sexual desire would be willing to pay money to have sex? After all, their sexual desire is UNCONTROLLABLE. Statistics also show that in most cases, rape is not planned ahead of time and in most cases, the rapist was either drunk or taking drugs. Therefore, the difference between someone who WANTS to have sex and someone who NEEDS to have sex is that someone who NEEDS to have sex is most likely unable to control themselves.

Prostitution is the practice or occupation of engaging in sexual activity with someone for payment. Human trafficking is the illegal movement of people, typically for the purposes of forced labour or commercial sexual exploitation. There is a slight difference but, both of them is objectifying human beings. No matter how much money a person needs or how much money a person is willing to pay for a human being, prostitution is morally wrong and the idea its self is a disgrace to society.

It may be true that a person won't be satisfied with sex by paying money. But, it does not mean that this is the same scenario for all of the people who have uncontrollable sexual desires. In fact, in 1980 there was an incident where a law maker had accidentally removed prostitution as a crime. This mistake went unnoticed by the police until 2003. A pattern was found between the time the law was removed and the time when it was put back. Research has showed that between that time period, rape had declined by 31 percent which is huge. Not only did it result in a decline of rape incidents, but it also lowered the number of STD cases reported. The number of people who had gonorrhea also reduced.

This proves that prostitution can not only quench a person sexual desires but also lead to safe sex and prevent STD. Since, these prostitutes earn their money from prostitution, it is their profession to have sex. This means they know how to prevent STD's from being transmitted. In fact, brothels are forced to have a regular checkups to make sure that their prostitutes have no infection in them. Thus the chances of a man getting STD is lower if he has sex with a prostitute rather than an amateur.

If prostitution is legalized then the government can also save money. According to statistics, the average amount of money required for the arrest of a sex worker is about 2000 dollars. The government uses 120 million dollars every year just for the arrest of each prostitute. Where does this money come from? It comes from the tax that we pay. I'm sure that this money could be used in better places rather that on arresting prostitutes.

You mentioned that paying for sex is a disgrace to society. Well, the main reason for women to join the sex industry is usually because of poverty or unemployment. What do you think is better? Being unemployed and living in poverty or rather at least earning money through sex. In addition, sex workers have the right to be prostitutes. The law shouldn't have the right to stop them from being prostitutes. Since the law states that everybody has a free choice of employment. Secondly be it prostitution or working in a construction site, we still are using our bodies to earn money.

Lastly I would like to state that even if the law states the prostitution is illegal, it cannot be prevented. Prostitution has been going on for a long time. Thus, the wise decision would be to legalize prostitution instead on having controversies about it. Tobacco, alcohol, and gambling have been legalized, therefore prostitution SHOULD be legalized.

First of all, I did state that a rapist would not be satisfied with sex by paying money. I stated that a rapist would not get to the point where they even think of paying money for sex. This is in fact because of their UNCONTROLLABLE sexual desires.

I will not make any more arguments because I am aware that my opponent has already surrendered.
