Thank you, kinger3040, for the wonderful opportunity to debate this topic. I am sure the audience are in for an invigorating debate!

Negative Case

A1: Burden of Proof

As per debate standards, Pro needs an argument to affirm the resolution. Unfortunately, it appears that my opponent's sole argument is a reiteration of the resolution, so my opponent's sole argument is, if we are to take it as an argument to affirm the resolution, circular (i.e. school should be required because should school be required) [1]. As you may well know, circular reasoning is logically fallacious.

If we are not to take this singular sentence as an argument to affirm the resolution, then Pro has nothing to affirm the resolution, meaning that he/she has failed to meet Pro's burden of proof.

Either way, Pro fails to meet his/her burden of proof, thus I win the debate on this point.

Conclusion

As the dust of this long debate settles, I hope you can see that despite my opponent's extensive efforts, Pro has not managed to meet his/her burden of proof. Again, I win the debate, on this point.

Thank you, Con, for being terse with your arguments and providing an interesting opposition.

Thank you, the voter, for reading =)

>Reported vote: Wolf_Fang // Moderator action: Removed<

7 points to Con. Reasons for voting decision: Well... never saw something like this but Con's structure and logic still killed it.

[*Reason for removal*] (1) Failure to explain S&G, conduct, and sources. (2) Argument point explanation far too generic.

>Reported vote: FuzzyCatPotato // Moderator action: Removed<

7 points to Con. Reasons for voting decision: tfw 1 round debate; tfw no question mark; tfw circular reasoning; tfw no sources; tfw no problem zarr, now maybe open up your profile for comments

[*Reason for removal*] (1) Failure to explain S&G. (2) The stated desire to comment on Zarroette's profile makes this RFD suspect as not as concerned with the debate as it is with worming a way into Zarroette's social life.

@kinger3040

You need to make your debates longer than one round. There isn't even a debate.

See school is a right...we have the right to go to school. But shouldnt we get to choose whether to go to school or not its our life isnt it? we should be able to choose what we do with our life even if its not that good. nobody should be able to force us to go to school shouldnt we get to pick?

Reasons for voting decision: Pro did not make a single argument in the entire one-round debate, merely stating "should school be required" in R1, i.e. repeating the resolution itself. Con was the sole debater to construct any case, and Pro's failure to fulfill BOP, as noted by Con, was logically fallacious. Thus, args to Con. As always, happy to clarify this RFD.
