I think that teachers bring guns to school is a bad idea one reason is that school is supposed to be a safe place right? Well would you feel safe if a teacher that could just snap and start shooting kids protect or would you feel safer with a trained police officer that has used a gun before and can be trusted with a gun protect you. answer me this

yeah haha very funny that is another reason why teachers shouldn't bring guns to school what if a kid is being rather "bad" and the teacher just so happens to decide to that it would be ok for them to kill the student because they're "bad" what happens then
gamercat

Pro

that easy if the teacher did shoot the student then it would scare all the other students into behaving >:)

That doesn't scare students into behaving that mortally scars them they would never forget the terror in his/her eyes and then he blood they would never be the same they would be nervous wrecks if the teacher doesn't kill them for screaming so if a teacher does that that would make it even less of a chance that teachers ever bring guns to school and that would be even better for my side because it makes it look even worse so thank you for helping

a but video games has already done that to kids there are so many violent video games already. so students don't being shot don't matter because gta5 there already scared with many other things.

This isn't a video game this is real life so what gta5 does that it doesn't make it any less disturbing. In the real world when a little kid gets shot by his teacher in school is not a good thing and if in a video game you can shoot little kids then okay that is a very disturbing game but I don't know if some get joy out of killing little kids on a game but I'm truly scared that a teacher might have the same joy

Pro

but you see the chance of a little kid being shot is much higher then a older kid or a teen being shot during school plus if the teacher did shoot the student then the other teachers have guns to defend the kids in the class room

That isn't the point if a teacher shoots a student that's not protecting them right if a teacher shoots a student then doesn't that ruin the purpose of teachers having guns to protect them?

if the teacher could have guns then the students would be afraid fear rules kids and teens minds so guns are a good thing to have for teachers in school >:) fear rules every thing bro

Reasons for voting decision: The criteria of this debate, as set up in Rnd 1 was the safety of schools. Pro points out that teachers can shoot students, so I'll go ahead and give safety to con. Apparently students would behave better but I don't see that line of thought impacted. Thus I'm voting con.
