Pale skin is precious since the middle ages,it looks arristocratic. Ladies with pale, porcealin skin can not be afraid of skin cancer. A very long time ago that in times of royalty The more pale you were and whiter you were the more royal you are. It may have been during marie antoinette's time.

Now pale skin is beautiful but an opinion. During the "royal' times they didn't know such thing as skin cancer, and global warming wasn't an issue back then either so when you would go outside during the hottest day of the summer it wouldn't be 110 degrees. Nor did they have electricity back then so i guess it's a trend now. And about trends, the most people who tan are teens, teens are rebellious and would rebel against doing anything that their parents or their parents parents has done before.
Now tanning is not dangerous, people mistake it as dangerous but that's because some people over-do it. They tan so much or it's their body isn't used to tanning so they get a disease that's easily curable.

Sorry,I can't agree with you because, skin cancer is the most common of all cancers. It accounts for nearly half of all cancers in the United States. Melanoma, the most serious type of skin cancer, will account for more than 76,600 cases of invasive skin cancer in 2013. It accounts for more than 9,000 of the 12,000-plus skin cancer deaths each year.

Most basal and squamous cell cancers develop on sun-exposed areas of the skin, like the face, ear, neck, lips, and the backs of the hands.
Risk factors for melanoma skin cancers include:
"Unprotected and/or excessive exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation (sunlight or tanning booths)
"Occupational exposures to coal tar, pitch, creosote, arsenic compounds, or radium
"You or other members of your family have had skin cancers
"Multiple or unusual moles
"Severe sunburns in the past

I do agree with this but my point was back during the "royal" times, there was barely any global warming and no one knew about skin cancer back then either.
And was that quotes at the end if so please site where you had got them from because some of those are theories like " You or other members of your family have had skin cancers".
and back to my other points pale skin is just an opinion and plus when you have pale skin your easily risked to breakout even more than tanner skin because you need some vitametin C from the sun.
And tanning doesn't always mean getting skin cancer just saying.

Oh okay so for the second to last round i will conclude that my opponent's argument is based upon an opinion. tanning is only mistaken as dangerous and is never really dangerous it is because of global warming from one of my first points in the first round. Natural pale, porcelain skin is beautiful but an opinion; I know debates on here are usually debated upon opinions but only to be backed up with cold hard facts, your points my dear had no citings...nothing... It is libel. But if you did want to argue based on solely different opinions without cites. Here you go... tanning on everyone looks sexy, looks trendy, it's rebellious because more and more people who tan are teens. If you don't know much about teens, they're rebellious they'll rebel against anything that their parents or their parents of their parents do. Tanning is a fad especially in the 2010's. Tanning is garunteed to clear skin because of the vitiman C it soaks into the skin, with pale skin you break out. Tanning makes you look skinnier and taller, its a good thing when your young and/or short.Tanning is not dangerous it only looks that way because people don't listen to smarter people that say tanning too much will make you sick.

Pwnt! in all seriousness the topic in entirety seemed to be evaded, after all was it pale skin is more beautiful than tan skin, or that tan skin was more dangerous to be had than pale skin. Either way tan girls got it going on and that appears to be the case here, running statistics down a list is in no way winning an argument.
