the government has to protect its people even if it means taking away rights. it is a simple matter life or rights. personally I choose life.

Banning the sale of incandascent lightbulbs does not protect the people.
The government has no right to interfere with what can be sold on the market.
debatefox

Con

the danger of incandescent light bulbs is mercury exposure to the environment and to humans. it is the governments job to keep its people safe even if it means putting forth a law to ban it. you have provided no facts for the last two rounds and it looks as if your argument is falling apart in front of your very eyes

seems like my opponent has lost interest well I don't blame him he has no points unless he want to either completely ignore my points or say the government should not protect its people

ha seems as if my opponent has forfeited his/her last round what a pity i was expecting a fight but i guess if you choose an argument where you know nothing you are going to lose. next time i would do a little research before hand to get a grasp of what you are arguing.

"Its an infrigement of our right to choose" (Copy Paste)
-Not very energy efficient, only 10% of the energy used in an incandescent light goes to creating light. The rest is lost to heat
-Don"t work well in large areas.
-Lifespan has been surpassed by other lighting solutions.
Why would you choose Incandescents anyway?

Incandescent lightblubs are an outdated 200 year old technology which wastes too much electricity.
Why would anybody want that anyway?? LED lightbulbs may be expensive but it significantly reduces your electricity bill.

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct for the forfeits. Arguments because Con rebutted Pro's assertions. Pro had the BoP, here, and except for some assertions that were basically the motion under consideration restated, Pro presented no case. No one sourced, and S&G was equal enough. As always, happy to clarify this RFD.
