i myself am against this belief. we find out many people now days due to the issues of shares in companies, they are to work hard to achieve higher status because if they wait to inherit from their parents they will get nothing as the properties will be owned by many people.

The first issue is how to we differentiate between those whom are successful and those whom are unsuccessful?

If we refer to Oxford dictionaries (http://oxforddictionaries.com...) it is very clear to see that the definition of success is "the accomplishment of an aim or purpose."

So essentially anyone who accomplishes an aim or purpose in life is successful, thus we can conclude that absolutely everyone who ever existed was successful in some way. Since everyone inherits attributes it is very easy to see that the population of inheritors compared with successful people are both equal (they are both the entire human race).

Now let us see if achievers can be applied to the definition.

Accord to Oxford dictionaries (http://oxforddictionaries.com...) an achiever is "a person who achieves a high or specified level of success."

Clearly many successful people are not of a high or specified level of success since, if they were, this level wouldn't be high but rather would be the norm/mediocre level of success.

I leave it to my opponent to oppose these two lines of reasoning.
In conclusion, since everyone is successful in some way and since everyone inherits some attributes which can help one to succeed at something, whatever that thing may be, it is safe to predict that many people of success are also those who inherited many helpful attributes to assist them towards that success. On the other hand, since not everyone is successful to a high or specified level, not many successful people are achievers by definition.

Are you saying successful from a monetary standpoint, or from an overall happiness standpoint?
