since when did vampires get so popular well ill tell you when it was when the world of the free first saw twilight so what made them so popular well it had to be the sparkle because real vampires don't sparkle. so for Halloween instead of seeing children dressed up in vangs and capes were going to see children walking around in clothes they went to school with and in body glitter.
I thank my opponent for the debate. I shall negate the resolution, "vampires are getting so out of hand." Definitions: vampires- a preternatural being, commonly believed to be a reanimated corpse, that is said to suck the blood of sleeping persons at night. out of hand- beyond control. Vampires are not getting out of hand because they can be controlled with various methods such as the crucifix, sun light, the stake, and holy water. Resolution negated. Thank you. well con was just correcting my grammar but not getting to the surface of the debate. vampires are suppose to be blood drinking, coffin sleeping, turning to dust in the sun light. now since when did vampires become so out of hand vampires what happened to Buffy? now the term vampires are just sparkly little fairies now not the blood thirsty count.
My opponent has failed to counter my argumentation. The resolution remains negated. Although my opponent's argument is quite incoherent, the main point she provides is that vampires are becoming less gruesome and vulgar and are turning nice and frilly. However, this does not mean that vampires are getting out of hand. Vampires can clearly be controlled by my arguments and source. The resolution remains negated. Thank you. |

apparently my opponent does not follow pop culture and that twilight has to do with sparkly vampires what I mean by getting out of hand is that every body that is on this green earth is doing stuff that has to do with vampires like, the vampire dairies, twilight, the marked series I don't think we have ever seen any thing like this till twilight so why are we seeing it now. we use to think of vampires as the count and now as the DELICIOUS Edward Cullen.
Once again, my opponent has not countered my argumentation, and the resolution remains negated. Vampires are not getting out of hand. Maybe the way people think about them is getting out of hand, but vampires themselves are not getting out of hand. Resolution negated. Thank you. |

as you can see my opponent did not counter my my thoughts as well I will agree that the thought of vampires are gettion out of hand because thats what I am trying to state.
My opponent still has not refuted my argumenation and has not upheld her Burden of Proof. The resolution remains negated. It does not matter if the thoughts of vampires are getting out of hand. The resolution only references "vampires," so it is assumed we are talking about actual vampires, not our thoughts about them. If my opponent wanted to debate peoples' feelings of vampires, she should have made that clear in her opening round. The resolution remains negated. I heavily urge a Con vote. |

twilight is amazing, sure it "got out of hand" but, so did the beatles.. and they're awesome!
you probably arent old enough to remember the fanfare around "interview with the vampire" but it was far-reaching and much more widely accepted than the twilight franchise.
plus, shiny vampires are cool. the fiction of the vampire has been open to interpretation since the beginning. its always been an abomination, such are the unlives of vampires :)
