so in some states I've noticed that the animals only have a week to get adopted.. why is that? after that week do you know what happens to them.... pet euthanasia... if you don't know what that is its basically putting the animal to sleep. ending their life... so what should we do that to kids that are in the foster system?? like come on be realistic about it an animal can't be adopted in just a week... a month and a half is more reasonable. if a home is not found then shipping them to a different state for them to get adopted or for the shelters to stay in connect... in case someone is looking for a certain type of animal and there for they can be adopted... now with that being said why is it that they get put down? yes i understand some are old that doesn't mean that they are not wanted... they need to be rescued why not help??
Keeping animals in a shelter is an expensive task. They must be fed, well kept, healthy, etc. It isn't easy to spend that much money. Should taxpayers money go to things like this rather than, say, a $1,000,000,000.00 battleship? Yes. But that won't happen because THE GOVERNMENT SUCKS.
I forfeit, I agree that animals should have more time in shelters.
