In the opera world it's sort of sacrilege to say anything negative about Puccini. I will say the costumes are nice in Turendot ;-)

I went to see turandot in opera. I had a great time. They had a large display that translated what was being sang which was awesome. Unfortunately the famous piece, Nessun Dorma, just wasnt up to par with how Pavarotti sang it. I felt bad for the guy at the end with the applause because you could tell people held him to pavarotti's standard which was sorta unfair. But it was a wonderful opera.

I got a huge college discount so the tickets for both me and my girlfriend only cost 35 bucks a piece. Saw a guy who was sitting right next to us's tickets and it was 219 a piece lol.
Me -Phil left the site in my charge. I have a recorded phone conversation to prove it.
kohai -If you're the owner, then do something useful like ip block him and get us away from juggle and on a dofferent host!
Me -haha you apparently don't know my history
Kohai - Maybe not, but that doesn't matter! You shoukd still listen to your community and quit being a tyrrant!
Me - i was being completely sarcastic
Kohai - then u misrepresented yourself by impersonating the owner—a violation of the tos

Talk about a save!
Anyway, I love Nessum Dorma.

If you don't sing it to the standards of Paravotti, ya shouldn't sing it. :)

I love Opera, but I'm just getting into it. I know more requiems, masses, and oratorios, than operas. But the operas songs I do like are:

Cendrillion ('Enfin, Je Suis Ici' just does something to me:)
Magic Flute
Norma
Cavalleria Rusticana
Man-is-good
