It only does for me, because I think it sounds like arse.

You don't have to be a good singer to be a good singer.

Some of the best singers were terrible at singing.

No, because if you need autotune, you're probably a total shi­t singer in the first place (Ke$ha). No talent, nothing to take away.

Though I agree with previous sentiments, I think Kanye West uses it really well on his latest album. Of course, he was using it as a style-thing.

Basically, it makes a bad singer sound better and a good singer sound worse. Either way, it makes the voice sound metallic and unnatural.
