Hey everyone,
My friend just recently finished a new recording in hopes of establishing himself in Music. I am certainly biased and think it is really good. What do you think? You think he has what it takes?

Little softer than what I'd usually listen to, but your friend makes some excellent music. I definitely think he's got some talent.

When i first saw this I thought for sure it was some of Zach's music, which i prefer over Seans, but both are very good.

Your friend certainly has lots of talent.

But if I were him, I wouldn't bet on making it big--not because he doesn't have talent, but because it's such a competitive industry dominated very much by luck.

Ehh, determination with a little luck.

How do you two (Inquiretruth and Alexhanson) know each other? There's a 5 year gap.

We go to a Bible Study together, among other things.

A little into the song I was getting a little suspicious because I could hear a Southern tinge to his accent, and knowing me I hate country vocals. But surprisingly it was just enough to make me enjoy it, and the accompanying acoustic guitar did nothing but help.

The drums was decent though a little on the boring side, which isn't too much of a problem since the rest outshine it. I would also prefer if his vocals were a little stronger.

Overall, very interesting musical influences and I'm digging the electric guitar's ambient touch. There's a lot of good musical effects, and it's all produced quite well assuming he had no professional aid.

Pretty good song, I have to say. Realistically, a song like that could be played on radio stations. It's a little long though, so he'd want to work on shorter songs.

But as Skeptic aid, a lot of good music effects, and the acoustic and electric guitars compliment each other. I thought this was a pretty good song, and I think the ability for them to become big is there.

Yeah, it could be shortened a bit. I could totally see it being played on the radio. From what he's told me, in music it's all about who you know. So he's working on getting to know a few people, haha.

If not, he could always try going indie or get recognized, like using Myspace :P.

It's not my style and while I think your friend is talented, I'm not sure he's talented enough (to "make it") though I certainly wish him the best of luck.

A band over here, The Blizzards, seems to be in the same genre as your friend. Mayhaps he could have a revelation.

obviously a pretty talented guy, but his sound just seems a bit too generic to me.

Speaking of generic sound, check out these two bands, both of whose members I went to high school with and one of which recently signed to a (relatively unknown) record label.
