Discrepancy between MSW and DDO characters

ddo must count spaces?

But you probably meant characters.

I'd bet that the difference is in spacing or in rich text.

IIIIIIIIM sorry. It is 7879 characters WITH spaces. Word has an option that lets me check this.

Where is the discrepancy?

I believe the discrepancy is in formatting, which copies over automatically. I have no other explanation.

If I remember correctly, line breaks count as 10 characters. Not sure if that's right, but I think I remember line breaks affecting my character count in the past.

In rich text, it doesn't decrease the count, but in normal text, the line break counts as only one character.
