I adopted the political compass model for the D&D character alignment test.

Take my test; 24 yes-or-no questions will place you on one of those little squares:

Any question that might be a "it depends", just think of how it would be answered on average.

Good---Neutral
1. You pass a homeless person on a the street. You have some change. Do you help them?
2. You decide to give a homeless person some money, as they graciously see you reach your hand into your pocket you realize you spent it earlier. You remember you have a few bucks in your car about a block away. Do you go back to your car to get the money for them?
3. Your friend asks you if you have any gum to spare. You know you have a few pieces left. Do you give your friend a piece of gum?
4. You want some of your gum and your friend wants some too. You get it out for both of you. Once out, you release there is only one piece left. Do you give the piece to your friend?
5. Today you were selfish and passed up both your friend and a homeless person. Do you try to make up for it by doing at least one altruistic thing before the day is over?
6. Today you helped out both your friend and a homeless person. An opportunity comes to make another little sacrifice for someone, do you take it?

Neutral---Evil
1. You see a homeless person and next to them is a shopping cart full of their things. You see some stuff in it you actually would like to have and you think you'd be able to take it. Do you take it?
2. You see a homeless person and next to them is a shopping cart full of their things. You don't think you'd be able to take it but you could definitely kick it over and run. Do you kick it?
3. Your friend says you can have one piece of gum and hands the package to you. You don't think they would notice if you took more. Do you take more?
4. You don't want any gum but your friend is looking all over for it and can't find it. You see the gum and have an opportunity to hide it for your amusement. Do you hide it?
5. You haven't done anything evil all day. Do you need to blow off some steam with a little mischief before the day is through?
6. Today you kicked over a homeless person's cart and stole some friend's gum just to see them frustrated looking for it. Another opportunity comes to take a victim, do you take it?

Chaotic---Neutral
1. You want to do something but it is against the law. You think you probably won't get caught. Do you do it anyway?
2. There is a law you don't like. You think you probably won't get caught. Do you go out to break it?
3. You did something you wanted to even though it was against the law but nobody noticed. Do you go tell people about it?
4. You went out to brake a law you didn't like and nobody noticed. Do you go tell people about it?
5. Do you generally dislike having a leader over you?
6. Do you prefer a more flexible life to a structural one?

Neutral---Lawful
1. Do you generally respect authority?
2. Do you enjoy being an authority over others, especially when they agree with it?
3. Do you enjoy being an authority over others, even when they disagree with it?
4. Do you enjoy being an authority over others, especially when they disagree with it?
5. Do you prefer an orderly life to an erratic one?
6. Do you wish everyone believed what you believe?

You have issues with TN, assuming you are going for the 3.5 system since it's easier to be an 'normal' person and reach G, whereas one has to be a dick to earn E points. Your lawful questions are loaded with G>E as well making them moot.

4e alignment:

Good: Freedom and kindness.
Lawful Good: Civilization and order.
Evil: Tyranny and hatred.
Chaotic Evil: Entropy and destruction.
Unaligned: Having no alignment; not taking a stand.

I don't give money to bums because all they do is sit there. If I could tell them to go find a job, I would. If they can't work at all because of some kind of handicap, I might. But most are just people who are too lazy to work.

If anyone has any disagreements with my test, feel free to make your own. This is just for fun, chillax and try it out.

Looking at all the poor people and all the rich people, it's obvious who works harder.

Took the test.

It would put you on one of the squares, not the lines.

Which test do you prefer?

I drew it before I read the distinction between square and line. The square I'm on the upper left hand corner of is where it would put me.

I think the currently online D&D test is superior.

I just realized that the only case in which someone would appear on the lines is when they are completely neutral in one or both of the factors.
