Evilkermit's grand debate: Team tournament

Alright, so a large faction on this website are anarchists. And most of the anarchists are really good debaters. So I was thinking of doing a Grand debate tournament. Basically this tournament will address many of the concerns brought up by statists of an anarchy society. Anarchists will show how an anarchy society can solve certain problems society face, or show how the government makes these problems worse.

The team will be divided between anarchists and statists.

If anybody has any suggestions of any other resolution, go ahead. The resolutions are only tentative for now. Here's my outline:

Resolution: The state should provide services that the private sector cannot produce efficiently

Resolution: The government should provide:
1)Education
2)Healthcare
3)Emergency services: Ambulance, Rescue, and Firefighting
4)Police
5)National Defense
6)Fiat money
7)roads
8)infrastructure
9)a court system

Resolution: The state should have a regulatory role in economic affairs
Resolution: The government should
1)regulate monopolies
2)regulate Public utilities
3)protect Intellectual Property
4)protect the environment
5)Subsidy research & important industries
6)Tax harmful industries
7)Create zoning laws
8)Regulate foods & drugs
9)Require licensing for skilled labor
10)Require safety regulations in industries
11)Regulate the financial industry
12)Provide stimulus spending during recessions

Resolution: The state should have a role in providing social welfare:
Resolution: The government should
1)Create a Minimum Wage laws
2)Provide Welfare & unemployment benefits
3)Provide Social workers
4)Provide Child support
5)Provide Rehabilitation & mental healthcare services

Grand Finale: On balance Anarchy is more humanitarian then the State
1)On balance the state cannot serve the best interest of its people
2)On balance the state is immoral
3)On balance anarchy is unstable

Teams will be able to interact with one another by PMs. A teammate will sent a representative for each topic.
Round 1: The state should provide services that the private sector cannot produce efficiently

Round 3: The state should have a role in providing social welfare:
Final Round: On balance Anarchy is more humanitarian then the State

The way it works is this, for each round there are subtopics. Each subtopic will have its own formal debate. After all the subtopic debates are finished, the main Topic is addressed. Each team will choose its representative to address the main topic
In the main topic, each opponent is allowed to reference subtopics in its round.

For the Final Round, debaters are allowed to address all debates in previous rounds.

Does one have to be an AnCap to participate or is there room for an AnCom since I am technically an anarchist.

You forgot the most important issue of all.

Resolved: Under anarchy, a hedge dispute between neighbors would likely lead to World War III.

I think there are only 9 active ancaps here, and I don't think all of us will want to do the tournament, so you should have fewer slots.

alright. I suppose this was too ambition of me. I will wait until Freeman's and socialpinko's tournament dies and perhaps make a smaller tournament.

I liked Marauder's team debate idea, yet unfortunately the tournament got canceled.
