A lot of people seem to be upset about many well respected members leaving. However is this really as bad as everyone thinks it is. People come and leave this website. It's inevitable that people will leave the website. However, should we really be that worried about it?

We have a strong enough userbase that doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. We seem to be overreacting to the trolls, even labelling people as trolls when they're really contributing to the activity of the site.

This has been a concern ever since ive been here about 2 and a half years ago. It's still pretty much the same, i dont think it's going anywhere. Although when i stopped coming here so much a couple months ago i did notice a couple of the biggest members such as L and Vi began to drop off as well.

Vi dropped and L changed her username.

The fact that people here do not know how to deal with trolls is rather embarrassing.

I realize that a debating website is going to attract stupid people who like to argue for the sake of arguing, but seriously.. series of tubes man, nothing to get excited about.

Trolls serve a very valuable function. They are messengers of Eris, here to remind everyone of the all important question.. "Why so serious?"

Anyone who lets a troll push their buttons is probably a miserable son of a b!tch, and they deserve it. Pvssies who take themselves too seriously deserve their misery.

The people who want to persecute the trolls might as well be making a call to burn the witches. Instead of making a big fuss out of them, either ignore them, or cease to take them seriously. Making a bunch of topics, running off crying, or taking part in flame wars with them isn't going to get you the result you want.

May the "trolls" teach the infidels a valuable lesson.

DDO is suffering; you can see by the discussions. I haven't seen much to talk about lately outside of the DDO forum regarding our ills. I'm hoping we will take responsibility for our actions instead of saying "trolls are ruining it" and "Juggle is not helping enough." I see plenty for us to do without worrying about trolls and Juggle.

I'm looking at the data on DDO through the Alexa website. It's not so much that the amount of users has decreased, but page views has been gradually decreasing. Page view per user has dramatically decreases.

It's really just that most of the 'new' members on DDO only stick around for a short time. A lot of the new traffic likely comes from Juggle. But at the same time, DDO has lost its tightness sort of speak, which might be the problem. I wouldn't really say that it's troll problem persay, but I think many of the members on DDO missed the old days where it was a tight clique.

Eh, I'm not sure If my theory is true actually. I recognize almost all the members on DDO. It's just gone down in active members and page views.

You had plenty of warning and you did nothing about it. This site is next to worthless.
I am voting for Innomen because of his intelligence, common sense, humility and the fact that Juggle appears to listen to him. Any other Presidential style would have a large sub-section of the site up in arms. If I was President I would destroy the site though elitism, others would let it run riot. Innomen represents a middle way that works, neither draconian nor anarchic and that is the only way things can work. Plus he does it all without ego trips.

Thanks for the optimism. I'm glad to see that you're back, Interrogator.
