At 6:15PM CST DDO will be moving to a web farm -- a bunch of web servers rather than just one. This is to reduce the risk of the site going down and hopefully will help performance. This transition may cause users to have to log in again. Also, even though we have done thorough testing of this new environment, it is possible that issues may arise. If anyone finds any issues that they feel are new and may be related to this move, please report them in this thread.

Thanks,
Eric

I only get notified about new forum posts maybe half the time.

Did this just start last night? Also, for clarification do you miss notifications or are they just delayed?

Thanks,
Eric

Hey there, Dr. Moderator, I have a question. How come you guys didn't ever remove a display picture from a certain member's page if you're so against it to the point of banning someone? Not saying that you're wrong in doing so, I don't exactly have an opinion, but that part seems inconsistent if nothing else.

Here's an idea: Let's be able to mod ourselvesa, juggle would have a heck less work!

Who should they make a user mod?

Actually I think it's working now. But this morning it wasn't.

Missed. But forum notifications have always been delayed anywhere from 1 minute too 3 minutes with me.

Thanks,
Eric

Can you PM me the picture in question and I can take care of it.

Thanks for letting me know. There was a short period of delay this morning when we transitioned the notification service over. Sorry about that.

OreEle, Innomen.

I could agree with that. But oreEle is busy with baby right now.

Maybe limited power. Most forums have a "purgatory" area where spam/troll threads are sent. But this can be abused.

What I like about DDO is the light moderation. Usually user moderation turns forums into places like revleft. Could be bad.

Anyway phantom, I think for right now we need to step back and take a deep breath. Let those that are leaving leave and just let everything sink in for a couple if days.

When every thing calms down all this should be brought up and addressed.
