Sorry for the delay. Some members were in a few debates and it would seem unfair to add more fuel to the fire by posting matchups a while ago. Everyone seems fine now so we should be good to go.

Freedom and DN dropped out so we're left with 6 people. Long story short, since everyone is 1-1, to avoid a bye we need to match up people into 2 groups of three, see who comes out on top from each group, and have that be the final.

Results from last round:

Mestari def. Thett
Seraine def. Lickdafoot
F-16 def. JM_not guilty

Again, everyone's 1-1.

Next matchups:

Here are the 2 groups. I've matched people up to where nobody is debating someone they've faced before.

Group 1:

1. F-16
2. Mestari
3. Seraine

Group 2:

1. Thett
2. Lickdafoot
3. JM

All 3 people in either group will be facing the other people in the same group at some point. Here's the catch. Everyone needs to debate the other 2 competitors at the same time. Otherwise, it would take extremely long for the winners of each group to emerge. For instance, if we did debates 1 by 1, we would match Thett up against JM. But then Lickdafoot would have to wait til their debate is done because her scheduled opponents are already debating someone else. This would mean its essentially 3 rounds before we get a winner from each group, which would take way too long.

I've seen most people here do multiples though, so it shouldn't be a problem.

So, next matchups:

Group 1:

F-16 vs Mestari
F-16.936286937593... vs Seraine
Mestari vs Seraine

Group 2:

Thett vs Lickdafoot
Thett vs JM
Lickdafoot vs JM

Please have acceptance rounds up by saturday. Its the ideal time to research given that its the weekend. I'll PM people first thing Saturday if nothing's up.

*Insert kind words, urges of our ability to do this, etc*

Gl.

*Gulp* *Gulp*

....

So, to Thett, Lickdafoot, I'm interested in debating resolutions related to Politicians' immunity from prosecution, or anything related to Miranda Warnings (How to mirandize/search seizures, etc.)

But of course, I'm always open for suggestions.

F-16 has withdrawn from the tournament due to personal issues.

Mestari and I are debating Libertarianism: http://www.debate.org...

The winner of our debate will face the winner of Lickdafoot, thett3, and JM's group.

This is gonna be legit.
Rules of Mafia

1. Mestari is never third party.
2. If Mestari claims an intricate and page long TP role, he's telling the truth.
3. Mestari always jointly wins with the town.
3b. If he doesn't he's mafia.
3c. If he was mafia you wouldn't suspect him in the first place.
4. If you lynch Mestari you will lose because he will be the third party Doctor or some other townie power role.
5. DP1 lynches are good.
6. The answer is always no.

I could see that happening.

Sorry to burst your bubbles but I think Lick and Thett are planning to debate 'aliens existing in the solar system', not the new world order, although it would be cooler, I agree.
