pick 3 things

We brainstormed at NDDOTT and came up with these ideas.

The two issues I most want to see fixed arent even on here:

Official ELO rankings
Fixing it so sources do not count toward your character limit

Specific style debates ftw.

I'm fairly happy with the site as it is. An improved forum system, with telescoping responds and the ability to hide low-rated posts, is probably the thing I'd most like to see here.

I'll add the first. I don't think the second is feasible. Juggle doesn't have enough mods to ensure that people don't post arguments or random stuff in the "limitless" space for sources.

You can post it as a rule in the debate that sources will be posted in the comments section.

On the second issue, DDO self regulates for most issue- we already rely on self regulation for most source related behavior. We wouldnt need mods to make sure people dont post arguments in the sources section, people who did that would just see it reflected as people voted them down. And who cares if they post "random stuff?"

Team Debate would be sick! I would love to see that, and of course all those other options are equally important as well.

Since our forums are so vibrant, I'd like to see them improved. We're on a bare bones system here! Giving some power to the thread creator (if only in the games section) would be my number one improvement.

In order of my interest:

1. ELO column added to Leaderboard
2. Characters in source links not counted; also auto numbered at end of debate argument
3. Forum posts voted as "not contributing" by five members are collapsed until clicked
4. Individual option to block the visibility of forum posts of another member unless the header is clicked; similar to blocking options to accept debates, etc.
5. Voting rights given to any member who accepts and completes five debates initiated by voting members without forfeiting.
6. Spell check permanently remembers words added to member's dictionary

Has anyone considered having a way to designate a time-period for two people to have an ACTUAL cross-fire? Like, maybe someway that in the debate a round would merely consist of both debaters being able to go back and forth within a given time limit for "legitimate" cross-fire. Not sure how this would be implemented, but it sounds far more similar to actual debates.

What would be really nice is a fix for whatever bug causes the browser to hang while typing. I have a feeling there is an open javascript loop somewhere...

Although not on the list, I'd be very happy to simply be on Juggle's priority list, and have someone there who's job it is to improve the sites they own, not just maintain them with minimal effort.
