Why does this keep coming up over and over? Is this like some state's high school debate topic for the season or something? All of the debates on that topic seem pretty full jargon and impress-me references.

I mean no offense to people actually debating the topic. It sounds like an interesting one. I just found the pattern strange.

If you are talking about the resolution "It is morally permissible to use lethal force in response to repeated domestic violence", it indeed was a topic for high school debate. It was the January-February LD topic for the National Forensics League branch of debate. So it's widely known.

That being said, if you are interested in debating it, I wouldn't mind doing it again.
