In the "Big Issues", it lists "Social Programs". What does it mean by that?

It is odd when one's capacity for compassion is measured not in what he is willing to do by his own time, effort, and property, but what he will force others to do with their own property instead.

-Yes... they are.

-To continue... Public Housing, Social Security, Social Welfare, Gov't Sponsored Health Care (basically Medicare/Medicaid), etc, etc.

-I know some of them fall on the B.I.G. list, but I think the point of the "Social Programs" category is for all the programs in general.

No. It's just "big" capitalized.

BIG issues = important issues

Nags obviously doesn't understand that this is a joke.

I was thinking more along the lines of Barack's Idiotical Garbage.

I knew mongoose's was a joke. I didn't mean to quote him.

I thought wjelements was seriously asking a question.

I think the Social Programs aspect of the "Big Issues" section basically refers to other government funded programs, mostly aimed at aiding the poor, that were not already mentioned. Examples include Unemployment, Child and Family services, etc.

Any social program involving the consumption of crumpets should be eliminated, as they promote the decay of our nation's morals. DOWN WITH CRUMPETS!
