Hey guys, I've got to do a seminar on current world issues the first week of May, for debate club. So could you please describe some current world issues off the top of your head?

I know a few, like the Arab Springs and The Korean Missile Program, but I don't know the details. Any help is appreciated.

Iran. US Presidential Election. Syria. Eurozone.

Is this current events, or current work issues? Because global warming, peak oil, internet freedom, etc. are all current issues but not really current events.

Tensions between Israel and Iran (possibly possessing a nuclear weapon)
Tensions between South and North Korea increasing

If you think "eurozone" is old, then I think you need to start reading the news on the eurozone. I'm going to ignore the more or less equivalent age of the older eurozone news and the newer arab spring news, and state these:

A couple weeks ago, Iceland agreed to a eurozone bailout which sacrificed all sovereignty in their ability to make administrative decisions on budget.

French President's first round of voting is today (in UK Time ; Saturday).

President Gauck for Germany has been elected.

The ongoing battle between the European Court of Human Rights and UK Courts on Al-Qatada's imprisonment.

Those are the ones off the top of my head. I can give more later if needed.
Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach him how to be Gay, he'll positively influence the GDP.
