A lot of us are interested not only in what your policies are but whether you would be effective in implementing them.

To the candidates, I ask that you give a sample, rough as you like, of how you might word the following to juggle.

"DDO Members want to add a history forum."

If you would interact with juggle by simply saying "DDO members want to add a history forum" then you can copy and paste, but it will say wonders about whether or not you are an effective politician.

It can be as long or as short a message as you like.

We want an example of statesmanship, not just ability to pander.

Personally I dont think any amount of communication with Juggle could lead to the creation of a history forum simply because of how uncooperative Juggle has been since forever....

You'd just have to be extremely respectful and basically kiss their @sses until they say yes. I got really good at that once upon a time :P

So then we shouldn't expect your administration to attempt any communication with juggle resulting in changes as or more extreme than adding a new forum?

That is only my personal opinion, it is most certainly not our strategy.

First, before asking for any demands, I'll introduce myself politely to Juggle if elected.

I'd ask them first what plans If any they have in store for Debate.org and ask what I can do to help them out with implementing them. See what they are planning on doing first before asking for stuff. I generally want to only give them one major thing at a time to work on so not to overburden them and have them start ignoring me afterwards. Thank them for the updates once they do it.

I originally wanted to try to discuss profitability of the website with Juggle, since if we can make it more profitable, then they'd have a more ventured interested. Apparently though Innomen said Juggle doesn't want to talk about that info, and this was to a person with business experience.

I mean, Innomen has talked to Juggle about implementing a lot of issues, which currently haven't happened, so not sure how me asking instead would be in the difference. I could ask for stuff that he hasn't asked for though.

Basically we emphasize working within our means to bring changes to DDO that people want rather than propose unobtainable goals that rely on Juggle's participation like others are

This is a really good thread. I think everyone should post a sample letter to DDO on how they intend to get a history forum right here in this thread. This is a debate site. Persuasive skills are really necessary. I think this is a really great idea that Wnope had and hopefully the candidates won't ignore it. I would definitely consider these responses when making a decision to vote and so too will many other members hopefully.

Because rather than make a huge platform with the changes that you intend to see happen, show us how you make those changes. In fact, why history forum? Pick a change from your platform and post here a letter that you potentially can send to juggle.

Most other people who want to change parts of this site rely on Juggle's support so Id like to see them too. We dont extensively rely on Juggle to deliver impossible reforms to DDO, we work within our means to bring changes to DDO that people want.
